TFOB Beer Tent Volunteer Sign Up 2026

Stickmen Brewing Company and the Foundation for Tigard Tualatin Schools (FTTS) are looking for volunteers to help us fill shifts at the beer tent for the 2026 Tigard Festival of Balloons (TFOB). Each shift will have a mix of volunteers and Stickmen staff members. Volunteering is a fundraiser for FTTS. Total hours volunteered by those registering for FTTS will result in a donation from TFOB to FTTS. At the end of the shift, volunteers will receive a TFOB entry wristband good for the entire 3-day event.

All shifts are about 3-4 hours long and require standing for the duration of the shift (with exception of ID checkers). We will provide some snacks and bottled water but recommend eating before your shift.

Parking: This is a very well attended event and getting near the event and parking will be difficult. Especially later afternoons/evenings. Please give yourself plenty of time to park and walk, arrange to be dropped off/picked up, park in neighborhoods near Cook Park or consider biking.

Quick Info:
- We will be selling beer, wine, and cider from a tap trailer, as well as, canned cocktails and bottled water.
- Experience pouring from a tap and/or with Square point of sale is preferred but definitely not required! We will send out written training materials before the event and give training when you arrive for your shift.
- It's important for people to show up for their shifts a little early so you can be trained on what to do.
- Last shift on Sunday will include an hour of breaking down tables/chairs (with help of Stickmen and TFOB staff)
- All positions will be under a tent (shade) with the exception of the "mobile sales" shifts.
- All positions must be 21 years of age or older.


Position Info:

Beer pourer: Pour beer/cider/wine from tap trailer into pitchers and place on "expo" table.

Beer Expo: Convert pitchers into cups and place in labeled section of expo table for cashiers to grab for customers.

Cashier: Work the point of sale (Square). Make sure customer has wristband, take customer orders, ring in items, collect payment, hand customer drinks. We will have a blend of Stickmen staff and volunteers work the cashier stations.

ID Checker: Located in 10x10 tent near beer tent. Checking IDs and giving wristbands to customers before they enter the drink line. This position would be best for someone who cannot stand for multiple hours at a time.

VIP Station: Providing drinks from beer tent to the connected VIP tent, during VIP parties.

Mobile Sales: Walk around the end of the line or other parts of the festival with a wagon/cooler full of canned cocktails and bottled water to sell with remote Square terminal.

Remote Beer Tent: 10x10 tent located across field from main beer tent. Selling a limited selection of product to help alleviate line at main beer tent during peak hours.

Floater: Help where needed. Whether it be busing tables in beer garden, changing a keg, or helping in the VIP tent.
