September 18th, 2021, LWG will be partnering with landowners, the Montana Watershed Coordination Council (MWCC) and the Clark Fork Coalition in revegetating the site of the Maclay Ditch Fish Screen on Lolo Creek. This project will help improve floodplain health, bank stability, and fish & wildlife habitat! If you're interested in volunteering for this event, email us or register here!
Our plan for the day is to meet at 9am and/or 12pm at the Lolo Super Stop (at the junction of Highway 12 and Highway 93). From there we'll carpool to the site off of Mormon Peak Road (about a 10 minute drive), and get to work planting native shrub and tree species.
We will provide snacks, water, equipment, and some work gloves for volunteers. We recommend you bring your own work gloves if you have them, lunch/extra snacks if you're staying for both morning and afternoon shifts, lots of water, and smiles :).
Please let me know if you have any questions about the project or schedule- you can email me at maeve@lolowatershed.org
