Description: There will be ~ 100 attendees from MINT Half of the group are teachers of ages 0-3 and ages 3-6. The other half of the group are administrators, Principals, researchers and support staff of Montessori schools throughout Texas and the US. There are a few people from out of the country.
The purpose is to increase understanding and enthusiasm for the Pollinator Garden as a natural outdoor space that is tended with knowledge of the land, native plants and grasses, and appreciation of the local scape (ie, bees, monarchs, dragon flies and other insects). Knowlefge of the garden’s history, what is growing in the garden, how it survives the Texas heat & ice will be interesting to the teachers.
The teachers are learning about the interconnectivity of all of life.

Location: The garden is located along the jogging trail across from Parking Lot P-5 on the Brookhaven campus, 3939 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, TX 7224. Follow signs toward Bldg. F

What to wear/bring: Wear close toed shoes. Insect protection is advised, especially for chiggers (sulfur dust for shoes/socks and/or insect repellant). Sun protection and bring your own WATER.
