SPECIAL NOTE: This is our first year to do this event and have our outreach presence reach so far out to the WEST of our service area! The Energy Corridor District is EXTREMELY excited to host us! Please come prepared to be impressed with both ECD’s hospitality and Terry Hershey Park!

EVENT: Energy Corridor's Earth Day Celebration @ Terry Hershey Park

WHEN: Sunday, April 21, 2024 @ 12:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. (Actual Event Run Time: 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.)

WHERE: Terry Hershey Park,15200 Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77079

SERVICE: Volunteers will assist with the initial setup, staffing and ultimate breakdown of GCTMN booth which will serve as a place of outreach focus for our chapter during this Energy Corridor District hosted event to help event attendees better understand and appreciate the environment for Earth Day 2024. A number of environmental themed and focused booths will also be present and participate in the event. The messaging of our booth for this year's event will be to provide general information about our Master Naturalist chapter and provide attendees with the opportunity to learn a bit about native wildlife skulls, tracks and scat. Further, information about the State's Texas Master Naturalist program and the role of informed volunteers in our mission will also be shared. Our booth will be outdoors. Please plan to bring your hat, sunscreen and a personal folding chair.
