Help tidy and organize the fridge! - Kelowna Community Fridge Signup Sheet

Support the community by taking 15 minutes of your day to help keep the fridge clean and organized!
During check-ins your role will include:
- removing litter in surrounding area
- sanitizing high touch areas, such as door handles and shelves
- cleaning the fridge (wiping shelves and handles)
- general organization of items

While cleaning the fridge, please check for any spoiled food, potentially located behind other items in the fridge. When you can, organize the food by placing like items together, such as veggies with veggies, fruit with fruit, etc. If there are items in the fridge that are not accepted, please toss them out or compost accordingly. What is and is not accepted in the fridge will always be posted on the shed door for your reference. When in doubt ask!

We ask that volunteers have cleaning wipes and trash bags on hand with them, as we have not been able to consistently supply them in the shed. We are happy to reimburse anyone for the purchase of any fridge cleaning supplies!

Finally, please take a photo and send it to us so that we can share the state of the fridge! Update photos will help community members understand the state of the fridge, which will be especially helpful when the fridge is running low! More detailed instructions for check-ins are posted in the shed housing the fridge.

Sign up for a weekly shift from the list below. If a time slot is empty, please consider one of these before selecting a time with already one person if your schedule allows. If you can't make your shift, no worries! Just let us know so someone else can check on the fridge! :)

Early morning: 6 am - 10 am
Afternoon: 10 am - 4 pm
Evening: 4pm - 10 pm
