Join us at Cooley Landing Park out on the beautiful Bay and talk to visitors at the Annual East Palo Alto Resilience Fair about the importance of voting, how to register and when. Let’s make sure visitors are informed and ready to make their voices heard.
You don’t need experience -- only your enthusiasm. We'll bring our canopy, tables, chairs, materials and signs! If you would like a little training on interacting with the public in East Palo Alto at a reg table, I’m happy to do that just drop me an email 😊 at voterservices@lwvssmc.org
It’s an event with activities spread over 6 venues in East Palo Alto, giving information about the exciting climate resilience work and research being done. The event is put on by Climate Resilient Communities, a nonprofit organization located in East Palo Alto https://www.crcommunities.org/about .
Every voter we register, every conversation we have with a visitor to the fair — it all adds up to a stronger democracy. Let's make November 3rd count!
We need help with:
Set up the table, chairs, signage, and decorations.
Greet visitors warmly and invite them to the table.
Explain the purpose of National Voter Registration Day.
Provide voter registration forms (paper or digital) and instructions.
Offer nonpartisan information about registration deadlines, eligibility, and how to check voter status.
Distribute resources (flyers, stickers, “I registered!” swag).
Encourage visitors to spread the word about registering friends and family.
