Is your orchid root-bound or growing out of its pot? Is the medium in your orchid pot breaking down? If you answered yes to one of these questions, and your orchid is producing new roots, this repotting workshop is for you! Sign up by Friday, June 9th to guarantee your spot!

• When: Saturday, June 10; workshop starts at 10 am, potluck lunch starts at 12 noon

Join fellow SDCOS members for a fun and friendly Saturday of repotting orchids together and sharing food. The morning will kick off at 10 AM with an informal meet and greet, followed by a presentation about when and how to repot orchids by a senior member of SDCOS. Participants can bring orchids with them to repot with hands-on support and assistance from fellow SDCOS members. Participants can use potting materials provided by Ben’s business, Calavo Gardens, which also provides the supplies SDOCS sells at shows. The group will break for a potluck lunch around 12 noon. Participants are encouraged to sign up for a dish they will bring through the link below. We look forward to seeing you for our June repotting workshop!

• Potluck Lunch: Participants are encouraged to bring a dish (appetizer, salad, side dish, protein, or dessert). The society will provide coffee in the morning, beverages for lunch, and plates, cups and utensils.
• Suggested Donation: To cover the cost of the new pot, fresh mix and miscellaneous materials and supplies used in repotting, we suggest a donation of $5 each for each small plant, and a donation of $10 for each large plant, such as a Cymbidium.
• Supplies and Materials: Ben’s business, Calavo Gardens, will have additional potting materials and supplies available for purchase, to take home for future repotting. Cash, check and card are accepted.
