Volunteer with the Office of Sustainability before or during football games to help capture gameday recycling!
** Signing up for a volunteer shift is a serious commitment. Our operations require a certain number of volunteers to be successful, and signing up for a shift you will not attend means we will be short staffed. We understand emergencies happen, and appreciate ample notice in these situations. Thank you! **
All volunteers will report to 2121 Stephenson Drive at the beginning of their shift. Old pants and closed-toed shoes are a MUST, and don't forget to bring a water bottle and mask! Pizza and snacks will be provided.
Shift Details:
1st Shift: Tailgate Team- Volunteers will pair up and distribute recycling bags in one of four tailgate areas on campus. This requires direct interaction with fans, navigating large crowds, and a good bit of walking.
2nd Shift: Stadium Sweep- upon arrival to the Stephenson Drive Warehouse, volunteers for this shift will split in two groups. One will collect recycling around the gates of Neyland directly after kickoff, and another will collect recycling bins and bags in tailgate areas on campus.
