HBL will be hosting a bike valet parking station for the 2025 Chinatown Festival and Parade on Saturday, January 25th! We're helping make this popular event accessible for cyclists and we need your help! Bike valet shifts are simple. They typically involve in-taking bikes, writing down people's info, making sure to give them back the correct bike, and spreading the goodness of bicycling. Volunteers should be comfortable lifting 25lbs. We also recommend bringing reading material for the downtime - chairs, shade, and a free meal will be provided!
Our bike valet station will be located at College Walk and Beretania (on the banks of Nuʻuanu Stream). This volunteer event will run from 12:30pm to 10:00pm and will have three shifts:
Saturday, January 25th.
12:30-4:30pm (open)
4:00-7:30pm (middle)
7:15-10pm (close) (if 9pm is your cut off time that's okay - you can still sign up for this shift!)
The hours of the valet services we provide will be from 1:00pm to 10:00pm.
Bike valet volunteers should be able to lift a bike (about 20lbs) and place it on the bike rack. We'll have a tent and chairs for you to kick back in, but still bring water and sunscreen. Snacks and a meal will be provided. If you have a HBL volunteer shirt, please wear it to you shift! If you do not have one, please write your t-shirt size next to your name (XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL), and we'll get you a new volunteer shirt for the event.
