Each family will need 5 credits to complete their Commitment to Service Obligation. In addition to volunteering for the events listed below, attending one of the following fundraisers counts as one credit - Casino Night, Derby, Crystal Ball, Golf Outing and Reverse Raffle. YOU MUST SIGN IN AT THE EVENT TO GET CREDIT FOR THIS. If you have multiple family members attending these events, you are still limited to one credit toward your Commitment to Service. However, attending multiple qualifying events count as one credit each (ie- attending both the Fashion Show and the Derby will get you 2 credits total). If you are a volunteer at one of these events, you do not qualify for the additional one credit as an attendee.
Once you are signed up to volunteer at an event, you must fulfill all that is required of you as a volunteer for that event in order to get credit toward your Commitment to Service. For example, if you sign up to be a Derby committee volunteer but can not attend the event, you will not receive credit. There are opportunities to volunteer that do not require you to be present at an event. Examples of this would be a Crystal Ball Solicitor or Golf Outing Solicitor. If you have any questions about your commitments, please contact the chairperson of the event or Kristin McKenna (kristinzurlo@gmail.com).
If your family opts out of this obligation, please select the $400 opt-out fee (found at the very bottom), and send a check for $400 made out to LBCRS c/o Johnny McKenna 2nd grade once the school year begins.
