Art Makers & Greeters
We are seeking volunteers who can help at our bike/stroller/scooter/wheel chair decorating station. No prior art making experience is needed but we are seeking friendly, creative people who can work with guests from a variety of ages and skill level.

ARTpath is a big event spread over a large area – people are bound to have questions! We are seeking friendly people who can answer questions, greet guests, hand out maps and help us make this the best ARTpath yet!

Site Ambassadors
Lansing Art Gallery & Education Center is seeking volunteer Site Ambassadors for our upcoming public art exhibition’s, ARTpath, opening reception on Friday, June 7th, 2019, 5:00 – 8:30 pm. Site Ambassadors will help direct visitors and spread the word for Michigan Art. We are a non-profit whose mission is to provide public awareness, education, and enjoyment of the visual arts by promoting the works of Michigan artists. As a volunteer for ARTpath you will increase visibility for the arts here in Lansing, and connect with your community.

• Opening Kick-off and Launch Event: This launch party will have a family friendly, festival like atmosphere including but not limited to live music, food vendors, a community bike ride, artists on site and more! - Friday, June 7, 5 - 8 p.m.

• Mayor's Annual Family Riverwalk: Join the Mayor of Lansing and members of the gallery's team on a 3 mile walk/run that starts at Potter Park Zoo and ends at the Turner Dodge House, with fun stations along the way. Enjoy ARTpath with a community walk/run! - Saturday, June 8, 9 a.m.

• Mobility Tour with the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission: The gallery team and the Arts Council of Greater Lansing will guide a group along the river trail to explore ARTpath as a catalyst for community engagement and placemaking. - Wednesday, July 24, 2 - 3:15 p.m

• Peace Paddle: Enjoy ARTpath and explore Lansing from the river! Kayaks and canoes will be available for rent or you can bring your own. Live music, boat decorating and more will take place. - Sunday, August 11 at 4 p.m.


ARTpath Riders
Lansing Art Gallery & Education Center is seeking volunteer ARTpath bike riders, skaters, trumpeters- or a combination of them all- for our upcoming river trail exhibition! ARTpath’s opening reception on Friday, June 7th, 2019, 5:00 – 8:30 pm. As an ARTpath Rider, you will be apart of creating a memorable and unique experience in this space. It is our mission as a non-profit to provide public awareness, education, and enjoyment of the visual arts by promoting the works of Michigan artists. Bring your unicycle and let’s make noise for the arts here in Lansing!

Thank you!
Each volunteer will receive an ARTpath t-shirt, bottled water at the event, snacks and an invitation to our volunteer thank you event!
