Rough and Ready Fire Dept. Baked Potato Booth Volunteer Registration
Hello Nevada County residents!
Your local Rough and Ready fire station needs your help to operate their famous baked potato booth at the Nevada County Fair! This is a great opportunity to be involved in our community and support the operation of the Rough and Ready Fire Station’s biggest fundraising event of the year. You get to meet your neighbors and enjoy a day at our beautiful Nevada County Fairgrounds.
We are opening online registration for volunteer positions to set up, operate, and clean up the booth after the Nevada County Fair. Multi-shift sign-ups and group sign-ups are welcome (instructions below).
Bonus: Volunteers get free admission to the Fair and a free baked potato on the day they volunteer!
Positions we need filled:
Shift Lead: Leads are available to step in and help anyone on their shift at a moment's notice. This position requires some training (training is provided pre-Fair).
Cashier: Cashiers operate the point-of-sale registers at the counter. This requires some familiarity with a digital interface.
Potato Cook: Potato Cooks need to be able to lift a lot of potatoes at once.
Potato Stuffer: Stuffers work quickly and keep the potato orders organized.
Soda Fountain: "Fountaineers" must be able to stand for extended periods of time, lift moderate weight, and bend over.
Note: Registration is necessary to volunteer for this event.
