It is important that you confirm your shifts with us when we send out the reminder email, and to let us know asap if something comes up and you can’t make it or will be late.

The following are examples of typical tasks we need volunteers for. These can vary from venue to venue, please be prepared to help out with a variety of tasks. WE APPRECIATE YOUR FLEXIBILITY!

Let us know if there is any task in particular you are unable to perform, we will do our best to accommodate you.

LOAD IN/LOAD OUT SHIFTS: 4 to 5 hours depending on conditions.

Must be able to do heavy lifting! Depending on the venue there can be a lot of walking, lifting, and pulling.

Setting up cat playpens backstage with newspaper, litter boxes, and water bowls.

Loading out- clean stage props, pack in designated bags and bins. Breakdown and pack merchandise. Bring everything to the bus. Breakdown and wipe out cat carriers.

Ushers- Help direct people to their seats. Help direct the audience on and off stage during the meet and greet AFTER the show. Watch the exit door
after the show to make sure no cats escape.

Merchandise- If you are an organized person this is the task for you! It is fast paced, and we take cash and credit cards, knowledge of Square is very helpful!

Selling cat ears- Before the show, walk through the audience like a cotton candy seller at a baseball game making cash sales of ears and small items while delivering cat puns enthusiastically and loudly!

Rock Cats helpers- During the show, as the band is introduced there are several positions where you will give treats and simple hand gestures to keep the cats playing their instruments when it’s their turn. After the show you will continue to do the same when people want pictures during the meet and greet.

Cleaning- Sweeping, scooping litter boxes, freshening water bowls, mopping, picking up trash, straightening chairs.
