WINTER 2025 Trail Ambassadors (Teams of Two) and Cider Hut Crew Saturdays & Sundays signup sheet

Looking for Co-ordinator to manage Volunteers, i.e. send a reminder the day before, answer any questions, follow up on any feedback provided. Mentorship is provided, materials and set up mostly done. Co-ordinator position secures you your 8 hours for Family Membership. Commitment for a couple of years to do this job.
Cider Hut Set Up:
1. A Crew of 2 Volunteers will supervise the Cider pit on SATURDAY and SUNDAYS, 11:00 to 3:00 for a 4 hour time slot.
2. Check in with the Staff at Pavilion at 11:00 am and pick up your Trail Ambassador Vests. Ski out to the Cider Hut on the Blue Trail.
3. Both Volunteers meet at the fire pit for 11:20 and if Tim or Ross haven’t started the fire, light the fire. (There is a metal box which contains some kindling etc. and a start up box containing a BBQ lighter. Please bring some paper to help you get the fire started.)
4. Crew members will work out alternating supervising the fire pit and promoting Volunteering and Membership to people who drop by, and going for a short ski and acting as an Ambassador on the Trail. (That way, the Volunteers can keep warm, alternating standing and going for a ski.)
5. When skiing, suggest you complete the Blue Trail, continue back to the main entrance, talk to anyone there to see if they need assistance and trail suggestions, ski towards Hully Gully and make your way up back to Blue Trail and Volunteers switch roles.
6. Ideally 1 team member should be monitoring the Cider Hut throughout the day, alternating, watching and skiing. IF ONLY 1 VOLUNTEER present…. You decide how you will spend your time.
7. Ross or Tim will put out at the end of the day, and gather any supplies if need be.
8. Return your vests to the Pavilion.
Community Outreach suggested text and main ideas to convey to people arriving at the Cider Hut.
