Recreation Assistants arrive 15 minutes before the class, hang the banner to let people know where to meet, sign participants in, share the Wellness Tip of the Week, direct participants to check out the PCPaRC website or FB for more info on parks and rec projects and community programming, snap some social media pics, inform participants at the end of the class that they can support their instructor's fitness business by leaving a donation, and work out with the class if you like! Consult the Wellness in the Park Volunteer Guidelines for more details. Guidelines are found here: https://www.pcparc.org/volunteer-opportunities.html.
Youth Activity Leaders arrive 15 mins before the class, get any necessary supplies out, welcome parents and their participating kids (ages 2-9), remind them kids are allowed to participate in the workouts if they and their parent want them to, gently remind parents that discipline/snacks/bathroom breaks/diaper changes are not included as a part of the activity and encourage kids to use restroom prior if needed, facilitate the assigned activity for the week far enough away but still within eye sight of the fitness class. Consult the Wellness in the Park Volunteer Guidelines for more details. Guidelines are found here: https://www.pcparc.org/volunteer-opportunities.html.
