GUIDELINES FROM THE DIOCESE OF CALGARY:
Thank you for landing on the Volunteer sign-up for Mass at St. Albert the Great Parish.

Prior to signing up as a volunteer, please contact our Volunteer Coordination Team at volunteers@stalbertthegreat.ca for further instruction.
All volunteers are asked to arrive at the church 30-40 minutes prior to mass and to sign in on the volunteer sheet in the Narthex.
DESCRIPTION OF VOLUNTEER JOBS
POINT OF ENTRY
There will be three Point of Entry volunteers at each weekend Mass. Duties will include:
• Greeting those arriving for the Mass, and answering any questions the faithful may have.
• Counting the faithful as they arrive at the church.
• Offering hand sanitizer on the hands, and masks to those who desire.
• Assisting the ushers at Holy Communion.
• Receiving the collection donations from the faithful at the exits following Mass.
• Assist elsewhere as required.
(Expected time commitment is 1.5 to 2 hours per Mass)
USHERS
• Please ensure that silence is observed in the Sanctuary during entrance and exit.
• Usher will guide and direct parishioners on where to sit.
• Guide attendees to Communion and back to their seats.
• When Mass is over, guide the parishioners to the exit doors.
• Assist elsewhere as required.
(Expected time commitment is 1.5 to 2 hours per Mass)
CLEANING AND SANITIZING TEAM
• Wipe touch-surfaces with cleaning agent to wipe off soil with an AHS approved disinfectant including doorknobs, interior railing, light switches, toilet handles, faucets and taps.
• Cleaning supplies will be in the Narthex area janitor closet for easy access.
• Cleaners who are volunteering are asked to leave them in the soiled bucket after Mass.
• Wear gloves.
(Expected time commitment is 10 to 15 minutes after Mass)
