Role Descriptions!

Supplies & Logistics - Throughout the week, help shop for materials, manage inventory, and make sure we’re stocked with essentials for meal shares. Ideal for folks who like behind the scenes work.

Casa de Peregrinos Pick-Up - Pick up food from the pantry on the Friday before our distribution day. Time slots are 9:00–11:00am or 1:00–3:00pm. You’ll load groceries into your vehicle and bring them to El Calvario (316 N. Campo St). A vehicle is helpful for this role, and you’ll be given instructions on what to pick up and where to deliver it. [Individuals can only pick-up from CdP once every 30 days]

Cooking/Baking - Help chop, cook, and prepare meals before distro. Tasks include cooking, cleaning, and making sure meals are safe and ready for sharing. No experience needed! Bakers are also welcome to bake on their own time and bring goods to the distribution with clearly labeled ingredients.

Food Transport - Once food is ready, load it into vehicle(s), and come on over to Young Park!

Trailer OR Supply Transport - Pick up the FNB trailer and/OR our supplies from our storage unit and transport them to and from Young Park. All FNB materials can also fit into a truck bed or large vehicle—the trailer is not required, just helpful.

Distribution Set-Up & Table Crew - Help set up tables and supplies at Young Park, arrange the food and supplies on the tables, and ensure everything is ready to run smoothly for the distribution. Serve food, engage with folks, and share literature and resources. Great for people who like talking with others and building community. (Make sure to designate a count keeper to keep track of how many people we serve).

Delivery Team - Package and deliver any leftover meals after distro to Camp Hope.

Distribution Break-Down & Cleanup Crew- Arrive at the end of the meal share to take down tables, clean up the park, load items back onto the trailer to be taken to storage, and drop off dirty dishes at the kitchen. After distro ends, bring the dishes to the church, wash dishes, and get kitchen ready for the next meal.

Compost Pick-Up - Swing by El Calvario after cooking is over to pick-up food waste and make sure it gets composted. Make sure to return the compost buckets to the team afterwards.
