1. Be an AgriLife Vetted volunteer
2. GREAT Attitude :)
3. Be FLEXIBLE! On your scheduled day, if we need you to assist in another station, you will be reassigned. :)

The partnership between State Fair of Texas Livestock Department and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service offers distinct learning opportunities for 3rd and 4th graders designed to show students how agriculture impacts them on a daily basis.
Our goal this year is to fill all 12 days-never been done. Thus, should the day you signup not make, Liz Rudd will email you to see if you would like to reschedule.

Times: 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Volunteers are required to stay for the entire time to receive hours.
Volunteer opportunities: Below are descriptions of each volunteer opportunity.
Hospitality: For Farm Day volunteers. Setup and maintain daily; light snacks and refreshments. Assist with other stations as needed.
Tour guides - will guide a tour group through the educational sessions. Tour Guides will stay with their group through lunch and assist with the lunch process.
Bus attendants will assist schools with unloading lunch, taking lunches to lunch area and directing them to registration.
Lunch Assistant: Several duties; You will assist staff with guiding students to the assigned seating. Pass out yogurt to students. Instruct and Assist teachers and students to clean up their area in preparation for the next group.
Other Duties as needed.
