In order to keep all staff and volunteers as safe and healthy as possible, RRF has made some changes to our volunteer program, Fostering Our Riparian Biodiversity (F.O.R.B.).
***Because our office is currently closed to the public, we cannot hold our monthly Volunteer Orientations or take on any new volunteers at this time.

Beginning on Monday, July 13th 2020, we are excited to welcome back any FORMER FORB volunteer and/or anyone who completed a Volunteer Orientation in February or March of 2020.

FORB will only be offered on Mondays from 2-4pm and Fridays from 1-4pm (no Saturdays!) Please arrive a few minutes early and meet with staff and other volunteers outside of the office.

Each volunteer is required to sign up prior to each FORB day and we will only be able to accept 5 volunteers per work day. Keep in mind that volunteer slots are on a first come first serve basis. If you’d like to sign up to volunteer but do not have access to the internet you can call Paige at 414-455-3675 and reserve your spot over the phone.

Each volunteer must bring their own work gloves and a mask or face-covering. Volunteers and staff will maintain a 6’ distance at all times. We also recommend bringing enough water, snacks, sunscreen, bug repellent, etc. for the duration of the work day as our office will remain closed. Remember to wear close-toed shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty.

Once you arrive for FORB, RRF Staff will have clean tools placed outside at a safe distance for you to pick up. Volunteers will not be allowed to gather in the office or shed to obtain tools. RRF Staff will sanitize tools and equipment after each use and sterilize the tools at the end of the day. Please note that because we are now entering winter, if there is inclement weather (snow, extreme cold, etc.) FORB will be cancelled as we are not offering any indoor volunteer activities.
