Once again may we ask the help of the children of the Parish to create Pentecost cards for Residents at Lynde House. The Easter Cards, created by the First Communion children, were very well received in the nursing Home in Ham and amongst our housebound parishioners. It was a marvellous communal act of charity that demonstrates that we have not forgotten those who have been requested by the government to stay indoors during this period.
There are about 70 recipients in Lynde House. If your child would like to make a card please sign the sheet given your child’s first name only.
Please return the completed cards to the Presbytery by Tuesday May 26th.
So here is how to join in:
1. First sign up to a recipient/s using the sign-up sheet.
To sign up, just follow the instruction on the page. It will only take a few seconds.
2. Get creative and draw. Collage or paint an amazing card no larger than A5 size please. As these are Pentecost cards, please include images of tongues of fire and doves, traditional symbols of the Holy Spirit and let your imagine guide you.
3. Please then, write your card to your recipient, adding a message and your first name only (for safeguarding purposes)
4. Place your card in an envelope addressed to your Recipient with their Room No alongside. (E.g. Name, (Room No.111)
5. Please return to the Presbytery by Tuesday 26th May
They will then be safely collated, sorted and delivered to the care home to arrive in time for Pentecost.
Happy creating and thank you for volunteering as it will bring so much joy to the residents of Lynde House
