Pikeville Pride is Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 12pm-6pm! We are so thankful that you are interested in volunteering!
See below for detailed information on each volunteer role. Volunteers will check in with Pikeville Pride staff at the plaza to begin their shift. Volunteers will receive one food voucher for up to $10 for a 2-hour volunteer shift. One food voucher per person per event.
Decorating: Volunteers will meet at 8:30am at Appalachian Wireless Arena's Main Street entrance and plaza. This team will help move tables and chairs, decorate, and get the plaza ready for the event.
Vendor Setup: Volunteers will meet from 8:30am-11:30am to help vendors set up their booths. This may include helping vendors unload their vehicles, carrying boxes of merchandise, setting up canopy tents and tables, etc.
Vendor Takedown: Volunteers will meet at 6:00pm and assist vendors in taking down their booths. This may include taking down tents and tables, carrying merchandise back to their vehicles, cleaning up trash, etc.
General helpers: Volunteers are needed all day for general help. This may include running small errands for Pride staff or vendors, checking in on vendors and asking if they need help, cleaning up trash, etc. General helpers are encouraged to walk around the event, looking for opportunities to be helpful.
