VA250 at the Roanoke History Museum Volunteer Sign Up
We are excited to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution. We will be hosting the event, "Salute to Southwest Virginia" on January 18, as well as serving as the first site for the VA250 Mobile Museum Experience.
We need volunteers for the event on the 18th as well as the next week when we welcome students from several area schools for field trips to see the VA250 Mobile Museum Experience and the Roanoke History/O. Winston Link Museums.
On January 18, we need multiple volunteers to serve as flaggers for the street closure. Shifts are only 1 hour, but volunteers are welcome to serve multiple shifts.
We have eight two-hour shifts between Tuesday, January 21 and Friday, January 24 to assist with the field trips. A minimum of seven volunteers are needed for each shift. These volunteers are simply providing assistance; no teaching required.
