After the parade, a festival of pet related activities will be held in Plaza Del Sol. A number of very interesting non-profit organizations with missions to help pets, to help humans with the help of pets, and to help humans better understand and care for their pets will be in attendance. The representatives from these small organizations are focused on their mission and do not necessarily have all the staff to set up and keep a booth running to serve all the event guests. Parade Day - Courtesy Hygienist - Responsible for returning downtown Sunnyvale to a better condition than when the pet parade started. The businesses and residents of downtown Sunnyvale have graciously let us borrow their front yards. As good neighbors we need to make sure they get it returned to them in a clean and decent state. Unfortunately, even with the best intentions, some of our guests will not be able to clean up everything they or their pets leave behind. Specialty Solid Waste & Recycling has generously provided receptacles and will remove them and any contents by the end of the event. What remains is to complete putting all the material that belongs in the containers off the street and sidewalks
