Austin Public Schools VEX IQ Tournament - January 23rd, 2027 signup sheet

Friday, January 22nd, 2027: Set Up - Set up fields, pits, and electronics

Team Check-In - Welcome teams and volunteers. Direct to the appropriate areas (volunteer area and pits), provide maps, answer questions and collect engineering notebooks from teams.

Volunteer Coordinator - Ensure all volunteers have their needed supplies; ensure food/drinks are available and well stocked.

Inspector - Inspect robots to verify they comply with the rules and specifications for the game.

Practice Field Official - Oversee practice field to ensure all teams have access to practice time and are orderly.

Judge Advisor - Helps to coordinate judges responsibilities, available to answer questions and be an intermediary between judges and the event partner.

Judge - Evaluate the student teams through interviews and engineering notebooks. Needs to be impartial, able to communicate effectively and have attention to detail.

Tournament Manager - Computer skills are helpful. Uses Tournament Manager software to initiate matches and record scores.

Skills Referee - Oversee and score all skills matches. Ensure all game rules are enforced during matches

Emcee - Provide "play-by-play" of matches. Enthusiasm and energy are needed.

Head Referee - Oversee all matches to ensure consistent enforcement of game rules.

Field Resetter - Good position for kids (elementary and older). Helps reset game fields after each match.

Queuer - Ensure teams are ready for upcoming matches

Scorekeeper Referee - Records match scores. Verifies with Head Referee and student drivers after each match. Discuss any possible rule violations with the Head Referee. Ensure the field is reset correctly and robots are ready for the next match.

Skills Referee - Oversee and score all skills matches. Ensure all game rules are enforced during skills matches.
