Join us as we celebrate Kodomo no Hi (Children's Day) on Friday, April 18th, 2025.
In order to make this a fun and memorable event, we need your help! Volunteers are needed to help set up, supervise, and clean up. No previous experience or training required. Your time and energy are all we need, everything else will be provided!
You do not have to be affiliated with a specific grade to sign up for a shift. Feel free to sign up for multiple shifts if you can!
*Adults can sign up for student slots, but students cannot sign up for adult slots*
Event Schedule:
3:30-5:30 - Setup
5:30 - Start event
5:45-6:15 - 3rd Grade Performance
6:15-6:25 - 4th Grade Performance
6:30-6:45 - Kinder Performance
7:10-7:25 - Waka Daiko Performance
7:30 - End event
7:30-8:30 - Clean up
Activity shifts will be available in 30-minute increments from 3:30-8:30pm. Prior to the event, an email with day of specifics will be sent out to volunteers.
Student volunteer shifts are open to any middle and high school students with community service hours available upon request.
If you want to help with any volunteer spots, but cannot commit to the full time slot, please sign up anyway and let us know your availability at ygschoolpto@gmail.com.
