Marching Band Event Volunteer Duties - All schools have volunteers working together. This gives the opportunity for volunteers to be able to watch their own schools perform.

Thank you so much for volunteering your time to assist with the Regional Marching Band Festival, October
21, 2021 . Lunch is provided between 11:00am-12:00PM in the ticket booth unless you are working in the press box. All volunteers and adjudicators will be served lunch. The following is a brief explanation of everyone’s duties.

1. All workers will wear a “Festival Worker” lanyard. This lanyard gives to access to the stadium. Your hand will not be stamped.
2. All bands may be given wristbands for their field parent helpers. This wristband is for field entrance only. They will still need to have a stamp or buy a ticket to get into the festival area other than the field.
3. There should be enough workers for people to take a break and watch their band perform.
4. Everyone should be at his or her station 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time.

Ticket Sales/Collection- Vaccine & Mask Required per Colorado Band Masters Association
Tickets will be sold from 10:00am-2:30pm at the southwest entrance of the stadium. We will be able to take credit cards so that will take a little training. Collect tickets and stamp hands as spectators pass through the turnstiles. This year there will be band parents wearing wristbands. This means that they will be allowed onto the field to help with band props and set up. This DOES NOT allow them into the stadium to watch the bands. They will need to buy a ticket or have a chaperone stamp. Assist Gate Monitors as needed.
Barn parking: Opening the barn parking area for handicap parking and redirecting all other drivers to the Gunnison Ave. entrance.

Bus Parking/Hand Stampers- Only Vaccinated & Masked people allowed on buses to stamp per Colorado Bandmasters Association -Double check the cones at the blocked off areas. Park buses and equipment truck/trailers. Help park buses, stamp student and chaperone hands as they leave the bus. During slow times assist with any other duties that are needed. Parents and chaperones will need to buy a ticket or have a chaperone stamp. You will give each band director the wristbands for their crew. Report to Lloyd Carson 15 minutes before your shift begins.

All Parking assignments – Upon arrival, report to Lloyd Carson who will be at the Gunnison Ave. entrance for final instructions.
Golf cart- will lead the buses and trailers to their parking spaces. The golf cart driver will also occasionally distribute water and snacks to the various parking volunteers and can be used to briefly cover stations for bathroom breaks.

Handicap Level Monitor –Vaccine & Mask Required per Colorado Bandmaster's Association- Please be at your station by 10:00AM Each handicap person or companion needs to have a pass from the elevator operator. They must keep this pass with them at all times until they leave. Each handicap person may only have one companion. Here is the list of guidelines that need to be followed. Call a resource officer if you are having issues with non-compliance. Come to the Press Box to get your passes.
Handicap Level Guidelines
This is a very popular area and many non-handicap would like to sit here. We have had to implement rules so that there is room for our handicap patrons.
• Wheelchair bound individuals are given priority seating in the front row

• All individuals in this area should follow the etiquette written in the program and be respectful of others

• All individuals on this level will receive a pass when they enter the elevator. This pass must be with the person at all times.

• People not following these guidelines will be asked to leave the area

• There is also a handicap accessible area in the stands on the lower level
