🚦🗺️ Parade Logistics Coordinator
Keep the parade flowing from lineup to dispersal. This flexible, mobile role fills in where needed along the route—perfect for problem-solvers who can stay calm and keep things moving.
What you’ll do
📍 Lineup & staging: place entries in order, manage spacing, and guide units to the start
⏱️ Pace & gaps: walk the route, spot stalls, and radio in to close gaps
🚧 Crossings & safety: support marshals at crossings; guide spectators and protect clear zones
📣 Info & wayfinding: answer basic questions and direct entries at start/finish areas
🔁 Fill-in support: cover temporary gaps so other volunteers can take breaks
Physical demands
🚶 Walking the parade distance; extended standing
🪧 Occasional light lifting/moving (cones, signs, barricade straps)
What to wear/bring
👟 Comfortable, closed-toe shoes; weather-appropriate layers/rain gear
🦺 High-visibility layer (vest if available)
💧 Water bottle; fully charged phone (portable battery helpful)
Special notes
🕘 Arrive a bit early for the safety/route briefing and role assignment
🌦️ Parade runs rain or shine—dress for the elements
