Senderos invites you to be a volunteer for our 14th annual Vive Oaxaca Guelaguetza on Sunday, May 19, 2019 from 9AM - 5PM at San Lorenzo Park, near downtown Santa Cruz.  The park is located between Dakota Avenue (behind Paradox Hotel off Ocean Street) and River Street (across the pedestrian bridge near Trader Joe's).  There will be a separate volunteer entrance where you can check in.

The Guelaguetza is an authentic cultural festival featuring food, dance, music, crafts of Oaxaca, Mexico. Guelaguetza is a Zapotec (one of the many indigenous languages of Oaxaca) word that means "a commitment of sharing and cooperation." Last year our festival attracted over 4500 attendees.

We need lots of volunteers to make our event a success! If you volunteer for a shift at the festival, you will receive free admission to enjoy the festival before or after your volunteer time. If you help us set up on Saturday, May 18, 2019 you will receive a free ticket to come to the festival on Sunday.

The Guelaguetza is the major fundraising event for Senderos, a volunteer-based noonprofit providing FREE dance and music performing arts classes and educational support for the Latino community. ¡Muchas gracias for being part of Guelaguetza 2019!
