inspIRRe Volunteers (Sat-Sun, December 2024) signup sheet

Hi everyone! Please only sign up if you are definitely attending. We had cases of people dropping out at the last minute, leaving us with zero volunteers at times. WHAT IS inspIRRe?
- inspIRRe is a physical space that ItsRainingRaincoats has dedicated to our migrant brothers. There is a comfortable lounge area, a meeting room, computer workspaces, and a first-of-its-kind shop for migrant workers where they can take items free-of-charge.
- inspIRRe is open to the public daily all year-round, regardless of public holidays and weekends, from 10am-5pm, but volunteers for afternoon shift we need volunteers to stay until 6pm as workers may also show up after 5pm due to unforeseen circumstances, so we need the store to be full closed only at 6pm.

WHAT'S THE PARKING LIKE?
- There are several open carparks available at the Blk 217 vicinity, at Blk 211 across the road, or at the underground carpark at Blk 219.

HOW CAN I HELP?
- As a volunteer, you will be completing a 4-hour shift with IRR staff and volunteers where you will take care of the free-of-charge store, accept donations from members of the public, sign in migrant workers who have booked a slot to visit inspIRRe, do some light cleaning if needed, and basic watering of plants etc.
- On weekends, migrant workers visit InspIRRe in two batches, from 10am to 2pm and from 2pm to 6pm. There will be 20-30 workers per batch. As such, you’ll be able to interact with them and assist them with the store guidelines on the items they can collect, and also take this chance to know more about their stories!

FOR STUDENTS
- If you are a student looking to claim volunteer/community service hours by helping out at inspIRRe, please inform us at least 2 weeks in advance from your intended shift by dropping us an email at nextgen@itsrainingraincoats.com. This is subject to approval.

UNDER 16
- If you are under 16 years of age, we require that volunteers be accompanied by a guardian. By signing up for this slot, you acknowledge that an adult will be present during your shift. If no adult is present, we reserve the right to turn you away.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I SIGN UP?
- Please take a screenshot of the shift you have signed up to, as no confirmation email will be sent to you after signing up.
- 2-3 days before before your shift, you will be added to a WhatsApp group (Sat-Sun Volunteers IRR) where you will be given more information then. Please do post any queries if you have them then. If you have not yet been contacted after 3pm the day before your signed up slot, or have queries after signing up, please email us at inspIRRe@itsrainingraincoats.com or reach out to Ash at 81018187.

FOR NON-PUBLIC HOLIDAY WEEKENDS
- On non-public holidays weekends, you will be accompanied by an IRR staff. If the IRR staff is unavailable for the shift, we will arrange for shift leads (seasoned volunteers) to be present and guide you during your shift. However, in the unlikely event that neither staff nor shift leads are present, our guide (to be shared within the WhatsApp group that you will be added into) details the specifics of what is needed.

FOR PUBLIC HOLIDAY WEEKENDS
- On public holidays weekends, IRR staff will not be present during your shift. Instead, shift leads will be present to guide you throughout your shift. However, in the unlikely event that neither staff nor shift leads are present, our guide (to be shared within the WhatsApp group that you will be added into) details the specifics of what is needed.
