NDA CIT VOLUNTEERS: OUT OF AREA signup sheet
Volunteer sign up for all CIT applicants who live outside the Las Vegas or Reno area.
CIT applicants are required to volunteer for two NDA-sponsored opportunities PLUS Jail & Bail each year. This site allows CIT directors to monitor volunteer requirements for each CIT applicant. Adult staff at events will have sign-in sheets at the event, so be sure to check in with them to get credit for your volunteer time!
JAIL & BAIL IS REQUIRED FOR ALL SELECTED CITS AND STRONGLY ENCOURAGED FOR ALL APPLICANTS. This fundraiser is dependent on social media contacts and fundraising driven by youth volunteers. There will be a local event but Youth Leaders can participate virtually if needed. Please sign up for the event, details will be sent via text/email as soon as they are finalized.
Betes Boxes are provided to newly-diagnosed kids during their hospital stay. They contain fliers for all support programs including camps, as well as various other small gifts from the NDA. Personal notes written by someone who has been living with diabetes provides support to kids and families in those first few hard days. Youth leaders will be provided with blank notes and a return envelope to send completed ones back to NDA. More details will be sent to volunteers who sign up.
