We love when volunteers step up! Final placements will be based on fit and need so everyone—guests and volunteers alike—has the best experience.

🚧 Service Gate – Hamilton Road
Help keep access safe and smooth at the Service Gate. You’ll redirect general traffic while allowing entry for ♿ accessible parking, vendors, and volunteers—maintaining speeds around 20 km/h. Walk-in fairgoers may be admitted here after payment. You may also be asked to scan advance tickets and process same-day payments using FrontDoor+, our event check-in and payment system. This role involves extended standing and assisting with gate security and flow. Work is outdoors with full weather exposure. ⛅

What you’ll do
🚗 Redirect general traffic and maintain a safe 20 km/h flow
🛂 Allow entry for accessible parking, vendors, and volunteers
🎫💳 Scan tickets and handle on-site payments in FrontDoor+ (as needed)
🧭 Provide quick directions and support basic gate security
👣 Stand for extended periods; assist with people and vehicle flow

What to wear/bring
🧥 Weather-appropriate layers and comfortable, closed-toe shoes

Special notes
🕘 Saturday morning shifts: arrive early—road access closes for the parade.
