Volunteer Position + Tasks:
1) Credentialing: Help pack credential envelopes for artists, staff, guests, and press. Greet Attendees at check-in. Scan tickets and distribute festival wristbands. Be able to provide general Festival information.
2) Greeter: Ensure every patron is acknowledged when entering or exiting your venue. Alert Venue Manager or Team Lead if issues arise, maintain aesthetics of the area, be able to provide general festival information. Must be able to stand for full shift.
3) Hospitality: Staff green room at performance venues. Accept hospitality drop-offs and set up in green room, maintain aesthetics of area (clean, replenish, discard unused food/trash as artists depart, etc.) Ensure Venue Managers have appropriate towels/water deliveries to stage for performing artists. Alert Venue Manager or Team Lead if issues arise. Must be able to stand for full shift.
4) Line Management: Help guests with congestion at entrance line, ensure lines are wrapping properly. Be able to provide general festival information and directions. Must be able to stand for full shift
5) Signage: Place signage and cones along assigned route/venue along the festival footprint in downtown Durham. Must be able to stand for full shift. Must be available Thursday or Sunday.
6) Waitlist: This option allows you to express interest in volunteering even if your preferred shifts are currently full. By joining the waitlist, you will be among the first to be contacted if a spot becomes available.
