***PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP FOR MORE THAN ONE SLOT***
Volunteers are only allowed to participate once every 30 days!
Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, unless accompanied by a consenting adult.
Sign up to support the Canine Explosives Detection teams at Metropolitan Oakland International Airport (OAK). This is a preliminary signup that collects availability only! By indicating your availability on a particular date/time, you are agreeing to participate in a training exercise at Oakland Airport. Transportation to/from the airport is at your own risk and expense. Once you have signed up, a confirmation email will be sent from a program coordinator along with additional details and instructions, to include specific parking information. (Please note that these times are our preferred time frames, and they are flexible. Should you find yourself unable to commit to the specific times listed, please reach out to us and we will modify the time.)
** The 4:00AM start is invaluable to our training needs. We would be extra appreciative, if you are able to come at that time.
Your role will be to serve as a decoy to carry a concealed training item through an area where a Passenger Screening Canine team is conducting search activity.
