Campaign Overview:
The Rethink the Gabba campaign is dedicated to opposing the demolition of the Gabba Stadium, East Brisbane State School, and Raymond Park. Currently, the government has put plans on pause, pending a review. However, the fate of these cherished landmarks remains uncertain, with the review's report due after the Council election, on Monday March 18th.
Our Strategy:
To ensure voters are informed about where major parties stand on these crucial issues, we've created a scorecard rating their positions. On election day, Saturday March 16th, we plan to distribute these scorecards at key polling booths. Our goal is to empower voters with knowledge while sending a clear message to political parties: our community values matter. We will be targetting booths in the inner city.
How You Can Help:
We're seeking volunteers to join us on March 16th to distribute scorecards. You don't need to be an expert on the issues; just a friendly face willing to lend a hand. Together, we can apply enough pressure to protect Raymond Park and East Brisbane State School. Will you join us in our mission?
