Welcome back to Winston Heights-Mountview Community Association events! After a 2-year hiatus, we are thrilled to host Neighbour Day 2022 on Saturday, June 18th!

This year's event will feature a Hot Dog BBQ, Beer Garden, Magician, Butterfly Garden, Games and the introduction of our Summer Roaming Gnome and Roaming Robot. Come out as a volunteer, support your community association, visit with your neighbours and have some fun. We have lots of opportunities for parents and older children to volunteer together.

This event's Chair and MC is new board member James Clarence.

Volunteer Opportunities are:

SITE SET-UP & CLEAN-UP
- 16 yrs & up for set-up & cleanup; 12 yrs & up for mid-day maintenance
- the unsung heroes of any event
- help to set-up and take down tents, tables, chairs, fencing and signage
- mid-day and post event - pick up garbage

BUTTERFLY GARDEN
- 12 yrs & up
- help set up and take down booth & signage
- one-on-one conversations about attracting pollinators to any garden
- assistance to select site and plant a plant
- possibly sell plants; take payment

FOOD SERVICE
- 14 yrs & up with a balance of adults and young people
- one volunteer to help set-up and barbeque hot dogs on our commercial barbeque
- other volunteers will help set-up food service station, serve food, replenish food as needed, keep service area clean

BEER GARDEN
- 18 yrs & up
- 1 volunteer bartender with ProServe and experience
- 1 volunteer bartender with no ProServe or experience required

TICKET BOOTH
- 18 yrs & up
- sell tickets for Beer Garden & Non-Member Event Tickets
- help set-up booth, sell tickets, take cash and credit card payments from POS machine

WHMCA BOOTH
- 18 yrs & up
- work with board members to promote WHMCA membership -roam event offering hook-up to membership site
- answer questions
- offer free temporary tattoos to children' helping to apply

GAMES
- 16 yrs & up
- work with coordinator to manage or assist with games - could be bocce ball for adults and 3-legged races for children
