City of Hailey Native Plant Arboretum Work Day signup sheet

Deactivated

This signup sheet is not accepting new volunteers.
Please contact the event coordinator for further details.

Come volunteer at the Hailey Native Plant Arboretum! Learn about native Idaho plants, including the state tree and state flower. We will be doing some light pruning, raking, weeding, and planting wildflowers and shrub seedlings. We may also do some trail cleanup.

The Arboretum is located north of Fox Acres Road and the Wood River (“bike trail”) trailhead in Hailey. We will meet at 4:00 pm.
Required: work gloves, water bottle, and a kneeling pad (optional). Please wear closed-toe shoes – sandals are not recommended because there are ants that love bare toes!

Note: There is limited parking at the trailhead. There is more parking available at the Southeast corner of McKercher Park, just south of the airport and Highway 75. If you choose to bike, there is a small bike rack adjacent to the trailhead parking. (but don’t forget a bike lock)

Optional: scissors, pruners, hand saw, shovel, hand trowel, rake, and/or small bucket.

If you have any questions please reach out to either myself Hannah@woodriverlandtrust.org or Linda Ries plries75@gmail.com
