August / Virtual School Volunteers (thru Labor Day weekend) signup sheet

On August 7th, we will be delivering and distributing weekend bags to the 8 school locations like we have been doing all summer. With school beginning virtually on August 13th, we will be making adjustments for delivery of our weekend bags. On August 14th, we will deliver and distribute bags to every school from 11 am-12:00 pm. Your time commitment however would be from 10:15 am - 12:15 pm to allow you time to pick up bags at our office and get to your assigned school before 11 am. In addition to the school distribution sites, we will also have a group of volunteers delivering weekend bags to school bus routes (more information will be coming later once we hear back from the school system.) Each volunteer will receive a follow up email (from nmcnutt.bpb@gmail.com) by Thursday the week you volunteer with more information about the specific school or bus route you have been assigned to with further instructions for pick up and delivery of weekend bags.

We are asking that only adults (age 18+, no children) volunteer. If you have students that are wanting to volunteer, please email LBurnett.bpb@gmail.com to see if there is a time when students may help. We are following the guidelines of the school system and allowing only adults to help with the distribution at this time. Each volunteer will be required to wear gloves and a mask to help limit the spread of the virus as you pass out weekend bags to families.

We will need a lot of volunteers each week, so feel free to sign up for as many weeks as you are available. This will help all of us plan better for our Friday deliveries while school is virtual through Labor Day. If you have any further questions or feel sick, please email Nicole at nmcnutt.bpb@gmail.com
