Peace Garden Soil Turning & Seeding in Honor of Philando Castile May 27-May 28, 2020 signup sheet

Please join us on May 27-28, 2020 from 2:00-5:00 pm for the Peace Garden Soil Turning & Seeding in Honor of Philando Castile. You will recall that on July 6, 2016, Philando was killed in a police-involved shooting on Larpenteur Avenue in Falcon Heights, Minnesota, just west of the north entrance to the Minnesota State Fairgrounds (location of the garden). We are preparing the grounds on May 27 and May 28 for the first phase of the garden enhancement groundbreaking in July. It has been a longtime coming and community donations have helped us get to this first phase of garden enhancements. Thank You! We are now inviting the community to join in the soil turning and seeding of the Peace Garden. We need two crews of 5 people each on May 27 and May 28. We will be practicing social distancing and we are asking everyone to wear a mask and bring a shovel or other garden tool for breaking up hard soils. Please sign-up below.
