EVENT SET-UP: Under the leadership of the Camp Encourage staff, these volunteers will work together to unload cars, set up decor, arrange the auction items, and prepare all event necessities prior to guest arrival.

VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR: This individual will check in each volunteer then make sure each understands his or her role, knows where the volunteer space is / where their personal belongings can be stored, and has all the materials needed to complete his or her assignment.

GREETER: This individual will stand near the entrance as guests are arriving and waiting in line to check in. He or she will welcome each guest with a “welcome to camp” greeting while holding a clipboard that will have helpful event information.

VIP TABLE CONCIERGE: Serve drinks to the VIP guest, make sure guests feel especially welcomed and appreciated for their extra support of our campers, and be equipped to answer general event questions they may have.

CHECK IN / CHECK OUT: These individuals will receive training and guidance prior to the event so that each is familiar with the software used. During the event, these volunteers will assist with guest check in and lead checking out (paying for / receiving auction items, processing donations, etc.).

FLOATER: Communicate with event staff, caterers, volunteers, CE staff, the emcee, the auctioneer, guests, etc. to make sure the event goes smoothly; help fix any problems that do arise; help make sure the schedule is on track; communicate to Event Coordinator if a problem does arise that needs attention right away / is unable to be resolved by you; and/or fill in for other volunteer roles when/if needed.

LEAD AUCTION CLERK: Assist with silent and live auction. This may include monitoring the silent auction, assisting with the closure of the silent auction, making sure guests receive the items they won, and writing down bidder numbers during the live auction and fund-a-need portion of the event..

AUCTION CLERKS: Assist with online and live auction. This may include assisting the Lead Clerk and writing down bidder numbers during the live auction and fund-a-need portion of the event, answering questions about online bidding, and making sure guests receive the items they won.

OUTDOOR GAMES ASSISTANT: This individual will monitor the outdoor games--tidying them up, setting or resetting them up as needed and encouraging guests to engage in the games (cornhole, Jenga, etc.).

CHECK OUT LINE DIRECTORS: Your role will be catching guests as they approach the check out station and guiding them to the appropriate line to check out.
