Quonset Hut Barn Raising Workday #3 signup sheet
We are seeking 6 handy folks to help us build a Quonset Hut to increase our Bike Storage capacity. PGH Staff will guide volunteers to lifting assembled "hoops" to build a complete Quonset Hut at Camp Ketcha in Scarborough, Maine. This hut will give our donated bikes much needed year-round shelter from the storms.
When: Thursday, July 29th, 8 AM – 2 PM
Where: Camp Ketcha, Scarborough, ME – 336 Black Point Rd, Scarborough, ME
What: Assembling a pre-fabricated Quonset Hut.
Snacks, water, shade, and bathrooms will be provided for volunteers
We will work in teams to move and lift sections of the building to secure them in place. It’s okay if it’s your first Quonset Hut assembly or Barn-Raising event, we still want and need your help! If you have one, bring along a drill and adjustable wrench.
