Dear Parents and Students,
As you are aware, our Premier Ensembles tour internationally every two years. Your son is either currently a member of a Premier Ensemble or will be in the future. To assist with the costs of these tours, fundraising is an important component to ensure as many of our students as possible can travel. In the past, fundraising has contributed several thousands of dollars towards reducing the cost of these tours for participants and their families.
The upcoming All British Day, to be held at our Tennyson Playing Fields on 22 September, is one of our major fundraising events which contributes significantly to our overall fundraising. We are therefore asking families to volunteer some time at this event. (Students can also assist with this fundraiser by selling from the canteen.) Whilst some fundraising activities can be quite tedious and time consuming, the All British Day is actually quite a fun day. Besides spending some time checking out some fantastic British automobiles, this fundraiser gives parents and students time to get to know each other – more than just the normal greetings as they pass by on the way into or out of a concert.
There are various ways you can help - as outlined below. If baking is your thing, home bake goodies will also be very gratefully received. Please contact our Terrace Performing Arts President, Mrs Nicole Hoffmann – TPAChair@terrace.qld.edu.au , if you are able to assist with baking.
If you have any questions regarding this fundraising activity, please do not hesitate to send through an e-mail or place a call.
Thank you in anticipation of a full dance card!
