The purpose of this ministry is to provide families with young children nutritious food during summer vacation. Consider before you purchase reading the nutrition information to help you decide on the best purchase at an affordable price. If you are choosing between to like products, look at the amount of protein and sugar in each serving. Ideally, protein amount should exceed that of sugar(s).

Sign up below for volunteer jobs and/or to donate food items for upcoming delivery. Feel free to sign up for as many items as you would like.

Deliver shelf-stable food to our labeled food shelves in the Skiles Hall Welcome Center (vestibule) between Sunday, June 16 and Wednesday, June 26 by 5 pm. If you are donating perishable foods (ground beef, eggs, cheese, butter) please place in refrigerators in Skiles Hall and let Ann Gerber know by email your donation's location or deliver as early as Sunday, June 23 to the Welcome Center and place in a chilled styrofoam cooler.

If you have a styrofoam cooler(s) (large enough to hold a package of a dozen eggs) or reusable freezer ice pack(s) you don't need, we would be very happy to have them. Leave them on or near the shelves. We have paper bags with handles donated by Harris Teeter this year, but we can always use a few plastic grocery bags for individual wrapping of certain items.
