Your Club, Kingsgate Skating Club, needs your help to keep the Test Sessions running smoothly.

You do not need a lot of experience to help. A good attitude, a willingness to listen, and the ability to keep information to yourself are the most important skills. All volunteers must respect the Judges, Skaters, Coaches and Parents. All results should remain confidential, and if you chance to overhear the Judges discussing the tests or skaters that information must be kept confidential as well. Its important that everyone respect the process and keep everyone confident in the results.

Jobs options include:

Hospitality - (Adult) setting up a snack and drinks for the judges (coaches and volunteers). Cups, plates, napkins, tea, hot pot & utensils available in the Coaches Room in the Club's cabinet. Set-up should be done about 30 minutes before the test session starts and cleaned up about 30 minutes after. The Club will reimburse with receipts.

Thank yous - (Adult) buying small gifts/tokens of appreciation for the judges. Past ideas include Starbucks cards, mugs, seasonal plants, small food gifts (jam or chocolates). Gifts should be under the $10 range. The Club will reimburse with receipts.

Set-up - (13 and up) get the chairs, blankets, hand-warmers, water & extra pencils set up in the Judging Box. Help the Test Chair with other set-up as needed.

Music - (experienced Teen or Adult) run music for the freestyle and dance programs - you will not be needed the whole time, but when you are needed, you are essential.

Runner - (Teen or Adult - must keep information confidential) wait by the judges area for their judging sheets after a test, take sheets to the copy machine to make 2 copies, give the copies to the skaters coach, save the original for the Test Chair, repeat.

Timer for warm-session - helps keep us moving on time and getting the warm-up groups on and off the ice.

Clean-up - (13 & up) clearing out the Judges Box and putting the chairs, blankets, pencils back where they belong. Also help as needed to clean-up and put away supplies from Hospitality.
