Now that schools have switched to online learning, we at BRITE have been busy coming up with strategies for how we can engage with students while being stuck at home. Below are some ways you can help us and get involved! Please let us know if you have any additional ideas!
1. Create coloring pages with positive health/prevention messaging. You are welcome to come up with your own ideas, or we can help you.
2. Join our Social Media Strategies Committee. We're looking for people who can help us come up with strategies for our social media and ways to engage more youth and young adults. We're also working on developing a BRITE Tiktok so that students can create and share advocacy messages. If you have any Tiktok experience, we could use your help!
3. Spokespersons Opportunities - Create your own media advocacy messages to share with your peers. Can be artwork, writing, video PSAs, Tiktoks, etc. We can help you brainstorm and provide support for your project(s).
4. BRITE Webinar/Workshop/Group participants - BRITE has been working hard on producing several webinars for students, teachers, parents, etc. We are looking for active participants to engage with others in our online sessions and groups to help keep it interactive. Topics include Vaping Prevention, LGBTQ+ Cultural Competency, Media Literacy, and more.
